How many years have you participated in the Girl Scout Cookie Program?
It’s my first year!
If you could describe yourself in three words, what words would you choose?
Kind. Brave. Courageous.
Tell us: What's something you've done that you're REALLY proud of?
I am proud I learned Christmas songs on the piano this year. It was fun to sing with my family while playing the piano and watch my little sister Ella dance to my songs. I am also really proud about writing my first book about Girl Scouts. It was hard work, but I did it on my own, and that felt good.
The Girl Scout Cookie Program is about SO much more than cookies. What's an experience you had during Cookie Season that helped shape who you are today?
I learned how to count very quickly so that I could give people correct change. My math skills helped our cookie team, and we all helped each other in learning to skip count by 4 and 5 quickly. It felt great to have friends with me as they helped me learn how to speak up when people asked questions.
Another experience is when I learned to stay positive at the cookie table. Sometimes people would say no at first, and that was disappointing, but we still wished them a good day. Some people actually came back because they said they liked our attitude. Of course, most people said yes. You just need to stay positive and persevere.
I’m not afraid to use my voice and …
Speak up. I'm not afraid to use my voice and speak up when I have an idea I want to share with my class. I used to be really nervous, but I am getting more confident.
