We're 2.5 million strong—more than 1.7 million girls and 750,000 adults who believe in the power of every G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ to change the world. Since 1912, we’ve built girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

Girl Scout founder Juliette Gordon Low once famously said, “The work of today is the history of tomorrow, and we are its makers.”
That’s because she knew that when girls work together, they can accomplish anything! Whether it’s protecting the environment, lobbying the city council, or speaking up for the vulnerable, Girl Scouts are constantly making history and changing the world.
As we celebrate Women’s History Month (and get prepared for Girl Scout Week), let’s shine a bright spotlight on the inspiring, go-getting Girl Scouts who are raising their voices, rolling up their sleeves, and taking action today to make a better world for tomorrow.
Every day, girls across the United States show their G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ spirit by advocating for positive change in their community, whether locally, nationally, or internationally.
Check out how these amazing girls are not only making the world a better place but also making history!
