Hip,
hip, hooray! After twenty-five years, Girl Scouts has refreshed its Visitor
Experience space at its central office, right in the heart of New York City!
Leveraging our cultural resources to fully engage Girl Scouts, volunteers,
alumnae, and the general public, it illuminates and inspires through new interactive,
sensory, and meaningful experiences.
With
the refresh, our visitors can explore and learn in fun and engaging ways about
some of the amazing stories of Girl Scouts and why our organization has been so
important in the lives of girls for more than 100 years. The space, which also
features stunning views of New York City’s Midtown Manhattan, incorporates art,
history, and technology, and truly offers something for everyone.
Check
out the original patent for the trefoil; bring the interesting stories behind
so many Girl Scout artifacts to life via an augmented reality app; peer out the
telescope up Fifth Avenue; contemplate the matchstick art installation and its
connection to the Gold Award; see your reflection in the floors and
mirrors—just as we want all girls to see themselves reflected in the Girl Scout
Movement.
We
can hardly wait for you to come and enjoy our new Visitor Experience! Email tours@girlscouts.org to schedule your experience
now.
