In Ohio, A Call to Girl Scout Alumnae

Ohio's Aurora Advocate reports that Girl Scouts of North East Ohio wants to reconnect with former Girl Scouts as soon as possible in honor of the Girl Scouts 100th anniversary in 2012.

The Council seeks accomplished Girl Scout alumnae to recognize at local events and help connect today's aspiring girl leaders with women who have achieved their goals.

Former Girl Scouts, or those who know former Girl Scouts should email for more information.

The Council is looking for individuals who are willing to share Girl Scout stories, or to be featured as a role model for today's girls and possibly be recognized at a local 100th anniversary event.

An alumna is a woman who was a Girl Scout of any level -- from Girl Scout Daisies through Ambassadors -- and all former staff, board members, volunteers -- both men and women.
