Girl Scouts—105 Years Never Looked So Fabulous!

Birthdays are joyous times to celebrate and cherish. They’re also a time for reflection. Today, on Girl Scouts' 105th birthday, we look back on the importance of our Movement and its powerful, overarching mission.

As we commemorate Girl Scout Week across the nation and abroad, let’s celebrate with a reinvigorated commitment to our Movement’s mission: to develop girls of courage, confidence, and character who transform the world by becoming the civic-minded leaders of tomorrow.

As someone who proudly "bleeds green," I am tremendously moved by the passion and dedication that our volunteers and members demonstrate for girls—those promising go-getters, innovators, risk-takers, and leaders who inspire us all.

At Girl Scouts, we recognize that our strength lies in an unwavering investment in developing girls’ leadership skills. By engaging more girls and giving them the tools they need to succeed, we honor the storied legacy of Juliette Gordon Low.

Today we kick off a full week of celebration and purpose as we move toward a future led by the next generation of trailblazers. So, happy birthday, Girl Scouts—105 years never looked so fabulous!

Yours in Girl Scouting,

Sylvia Acevedo
Interim Chief Executive Officer
