Remember to Connect and Share Today—It’s the World Thinking Day Way!

Happy Monday everyone! Today, we start off the week on an exceptionally awesome foot. Why? Because—you guessed it—it’s World Thinking Day! We’ve been looking forward to this day for weeks now, and we’re just so excited to hear all about what you’re up to on this very special occasion. What do you say—are you ready for a little inspiring storytelling? Perfect. Let’s do it!

Today, as Girl Scouts and Girl Guides around the world gather to celebrate and support our global sisterhood, connect with sister Girl Guides, and take action on global issues to make the world a better place, we urge you to share, share, share.

Are you setting out to connect today by making new friends, spreading good vibes, or honoring through service with some of the ideas we gave you on the blog a few weeks ago, or did you come up with a cool World Thinking Day activity of your own? Either way, today, let’s give thanks for and celebrate the many ways in which our Girl Scout friendships enrich our lives, expand our world-views, and drive us to create meaningful change by posting about your World Thinking Day activity or event on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Don’t forget to include a fun photo and use hashtag #WTD2016. And don’t be shy. No matter how small or big your celebration, it’s all a meaningful and powerful symbol of the incredible connection we all share as Girl Scouts!

In the same spirit of sharing and celebrating each other, later in the week, we’ll gather up the best stories, and feature them here on the blog, so make sure to check back! And if you’re extra motivated to connect with your Girl Scout “forever friends” today (or any day!), you can show some love by donating to the Juliette Low World Friendship Fund which helps support girls as they build incredible global skills through eye-opening, awe-inspiring travel experiences.

Now go on and have THE best World Thinking Day ever. We’ll be waiting at the edge of our seats to hear (and see—we love great Girl Scout photos!) all about it.
