Savannah Girl Scouts Celebrate History With Tree Planting

The Savannah Morning News reports that Girl Scouts, Brownies and Daisies returned to Gordonston’s Juliette Low Park on Thursday afternoon to help celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts, which got its start in Savannah.

Thursday’s tree planting came almost 75 years to the day after a tree-planting ceremony celebrating Scouting’s Silver Anniversary in 1937.
