'Savannah Smiles' Kicks-Off Girl Scout Cookie Season 2012 With a Bang!

The Huffington Post reports that it is Girl Scout cookie season again, and this year there is a new cookie called Savannah Smiles. Girl Scout cookie season is a massive story this year with coverage of Savannah Smiles in the Washington Post, Yahoo, Gothamist, Jezebel, WebMD, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Hispanic Business, Long Island Press and countless others.

New York Daily News states that the "lemon-flavored, powdered sugar dusted confection will symbolize the organization’s 100th year in service and sweetness."

Girl Scouts of the USA was founded by Juliette Gordon Low in 1912. From Savannah, Georgia, Low made her historic telephone call to a distant cousin, saying, "I've got something for the girls of Savannah, and all of America, and all the world, and we're going to start it tonight!"
