Pioneering Chef Honored as Woman of Distinction

In Napa Valley, CA, the Press Democrat reports that pioneering chef Cindy Pawlcyn, owner of three Napa Valley restaurants, was honored Thursday night as the 2011 Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts of Northern California.

A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Pawlcyn was a Girl Scout from an early age and has enjoyed lifelong friendships that she forged during her scouting days. The chef/owner of Mustards Grill, Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen and Go Fish restaurants honed some of her entrepreneurial skills in the Girl Scouts. “The cookie sales actually teach you about sales, finance, reporting and details,” she noted.

Kudos and congrats to Cindy Pawlcyn! Do you know any Women of Distinction?
